Manifesto · Public experiment
I want AI to recommend my company
I am starting a public GEO experiment to learn what makes ChatGPT and other AI tools recommend a company.
The way people search for information is changing.
Instead of entering a few keywords and reviewing ten result pages, we increasingly ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Claude or Perplexity a specific question and expect one useful answer.
We do not want a list of links. We want a recommendation.
We want to know which tool to choose, whom to hire, which product to buy and which company can best solve our problem.
I believe this is only the beginning. AI tools will take over a growing share of searching, comparing offers and making buying decisions.
That is why I am starting a public experiment.
I want to learn whether we can deliberately increase the likelihood that AI models mention, cite and recommend a specific company. That company will be my own.
I will not describe theory from a safe distance. I will test everything on a live business, show the work, publish the results and write honestly about what fails.
This is the manifesto for that experiment.
01
Why am I starting this experiment?
For years, companies competed for Google rankings. Traditional SEO still matters, but a new layer of visibility is emerging: presence in AI answers.
A company must be understandable to language models, appear in relevant sources and be described in the right context. If a model does not understand what it does, whom it helps and why it is worth recommending, it probably will not recommend it.
I do not yet know which actions will matter most. That is exactly why I want to test them in practice.
02
What do I want to do?
I want to publicly test what genuinely improves a company’s visibility in AI tools.
I will document audits, content changes, brand communication, AI answer tests, external sources, mistakes, dead ends, results and conclusions.
The 30-day GEO plan is a structure for the experiment, not a promise. If the work takes 60 or 90 days, I will say so openly. The result matters more than a catchy title.
03
The goal: make AI recommend my company
The goal is simple to state but difficult to achieve: I want AI tools to recommend my company to people who may genuinely need its services.
I am interested in natural, accurate recommendations—not an accidental mention or a question designed to force the desired response.
Visibility should lead to interest, enquiries and sales. Otherwise it remains only a technological curiosity.
04
Rules of the experiment
For this experiment to have value, it needs clear rules.
I will define how answers are tested, how randomness is limited and how every action is documented. I will publish the full methodology in a later article.
05
The baseline: where am I?
Before taking action, I need to measure how visible my company already is in AI tools.
The baseline measurement will show whether models know the brand, how they describe it and when they recommend it. I will publish the full audit and results later.
06
What will count as success?
A single mention in one AI answer will not be enough.
After the baseline measurement, I will define concrete criteria for improved visibility and clearly distinguish success from no result.
